Cooperative El Porvenir is made up of twenty-eight farms owned by nine producing families which include the Lorenzo, Zapata, Aguirre, Najera, Mendez, Sandoval, Ortega, Martinez and Barrera families. All lots of green coffee are individually cupped thoroughly to ensure the coffees meet the distinct wine series tasting profile, rejecting anything that doesn’t pass the highest quality standards.
Coffees are picked at an altitude of 1,800m and processed at 1,500m, drying for 4-5 days on patios before being finished in guardióas. Farmers grow red and yellow Caturra, Typica, and red and yellow Bourbon varieties.
